From November 7th until November 16th 2008 the Glow festival took place at Eindhoven.
Twenty exhibitions in the centre of Eindhoven together form a route of Light-art. Together
with Modulorbeat and Balestra Rot8ion has created the first exhibition on the list.
Modulorbeat and Balestra Berlin created the KUBIK light construction, Rot8ion contributed
to the sounddesign and surround effects.

After 10 days of Festival tours, drinks, conversations etc, we can say Glow was a big
succes. Over 125.000 people visited the festival. We would like to thank everyone for all
the positive reactions we received. On this page you can watch some of the photos that
were taken of our installation in the Dommelpark (behind the Effenaar) during the festival.
Over het project
De stedelijke atmosferen, milieus, ontwerpen en interactie zijn de onderwerpen van de
interdisciplinaire onderzoeks- en ontwerppraktijk van Modulorbeat. Hun installaties en
interventies zijn gecentreerd op de openbare ruimte als geografische plaats, open forum
en medium voor de openbare communicatie.
Voor GLOW werden zij gevraagd om een plaatsspecifieke oplossing voor hun installatie
"Big Tanks!" te ontwikkelen: verlichte watertanks, die, ondersteund door geluid, een
omgeving om te vertoeven en te ontspannen vormen.
Rot8ion is een ambisonisch geluidsexperiment. Ambisonisch betekent dat de bezoeker
het geluid uit alle richtingen hoort komen. Bij het Rot8ion project komen de geluiden niet
alleen uit alle richtingen maar ze bewegen ook.
De geluiden verplaatsen zich onafhankelijk van elkaar met verschillende patronen door
het park.
Deze (omgevings-)geluiden vormen samen een compositie die wordt beïnvloedt door het
effect dat de bezoekers hebben op het lichtobject in het park.Rot8ion is een project
